The mall itself is enormous. Once you enter, you will be awed by all the high-end shops, cafes, and outlets. Still, there are many decently priced options to be found here too. The mall is very clean and structurally beautiful.

The most obvious showstopper of this list, the Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world. No matter how skeptical you are about its point of existence, once you are in front of it, all of that fades away.

Burj Al Arab
If you are looking for some and affordable beach time, come over to the Burj Al Arab. This whimsically shaped structure is home to many resorts and beaches. You can relax in the waters or lie back in the shade.

Dubai on a layover is admittedly, a bit tricky. Firstly – try not to get out during peak sunlight hours.
This is a desert afterall – and the heat is as harsh as it can get.
Secondly, if you are on a budget, the many taxis around here will save you a lot of money.
If you choose to take the metro – get ready for some really long and fairly crowded rides.
But on the plus side, you can see huge portions of the city’s main areas through the windows. Dubai is a place you should not be spending inside the limited area when on a layover in a Dubai International Airport.
