It takes a lot to live up to a name like Shangri-La, but when you’re up here, looking out at the Arabian Gulf and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the name feels appropriate.

Members of staff are very keen to please. There is an admirable choice of restaurants. The Hotel is situated on the seashore looking towards the Grand Mosque and the views are especially attractive at sunrise and sunset.
