The silent historical witness of development
The beloved historical monument was built in 1963 to rejoice first oil export in emirates. It was established as a symbol of Dubai. Architect Ziki Homsi outlined the structure of this magnificent land crossing that connected Bur Dubai and Deira.
This exquisite tower was originally made of reinforced steel which was reconstructed in 1989 with concrete. In 1989, four face clocks were replaced by omega models.

At the AL Rigga locality, the impeccable tower stands along the intersection of umm Hurair Road and Al Maktoum Road of Deira. It also provides an entrance for the Al Maktoum Bridge.

There are many transportations facilities available. Dubai International airport is just 5 minutes away from the place.
Bus routes are also available including 27, 53, 11A and X28. The nearest Dubai metro station is Al Rigga and Dubai City Centre on the Red Line.
