Good news for all the residents of Saudi Arabia!!.. The Saudi government has begun plans for the distribution of the covid-19 vaccine within the Kingdom.
As per the latest reports, Pfizer-BioNTech is chosen as the vaccine to be provided to all residents of Saudi Arabia.
Pfizer is a leading pharmaceutical company globally, that launched their covid-19 vaccine which is known as Pfizer-BioNTech.
Saudi food and drug authority already given approval for Pfizer for the vaccination.
Several airports in Saudi Arabia have begun preparations to acquire vaccinations, including Riyadh,Jeddah and Dammam, with the latest air conditioning facilities.
Two doses will be given for vaccination. The second dose is to be administered 20 days after the first dose.
The Ministry of Health has confirmed that Pfizer has been selected after a thorough review. Vaccination will be tracked closely as per ministry sources.
The covid vaccine will be administered in three phases in the next year.
Priority will be given to those who have already been infected with covid-19, to elderly people and to those who suffer from various lifestyle diseases such as diabetes.
The Ministry of Health has confirmed that none of the vaccine recipients have lost their lives or are affected by major illnesses, and that vaccines are pretty safe to administer.
