The General Directorate of Passports (jawazat) has stated that expatriates in the kingdom can now pay their dependents and companions’ fees quarterly.
It was previously only possible to levy pay on an annual basis when renewing iqama.
According to Jawazat,every local bank in Saudi Arabia has been upgraded with new payment options for dependent fee payment.
As per jawazat the category of dependents includes;wife, sons under the age of 18 years and daughters.
Companions include sons at the age of 18 and above, wives (second, third and fourth), father and mother, father in law, mother in law, domestic workers,also expatriate who is registered in the Muqeem system as one who is in the service of the expatriate worker.
The monthly fee for each dependent and companion will be 400 riyals.
The Ministry of Health has recently established a number of new online services for expatriates.

Employers also can now pay for iqama issuance or renewal in three-month installments up to one year.
Employees must pay 800 riyals each month or 9600 riyals per year to renew their work permits.
